My condolences to my aunty Winnie, and cousins, for the loss of uncle Dave. I still remember the time he visited with uncle Jim in "A" Dorm while on his honeymoon. It seems like just a little while ago, because my memory of how happy he was as a newly wed is still vivid in my mind.
I've always had a special relationship with all my uncles and aunties on my mothers side, but trying to keep up with all the many children and grandchildren as they come along, can sometimes be a little daunting and confusing when there are so many. In that respect, I truly admire my uncle for the amazing legacy he has left behind in such a large and beautiful family. What an amazing blessing! And over the years, it's been great to see my cousins demonstrate their gifts and talents, and to follow the example their dad set for them, both in work ethics, and in the gospel. That was so clearly evident in the ease in which they delivered their talks and presentations to a packed-out congregation at his funeral service - a truly wonderful and superb send-off!
Arohanui roa ko taku whanau. My thoughts and prayers to you all on this sad occasion, however, I trust my gift will bring solace to you as these photos clearly indicate that your dear husband, father, and grand father, had heaps of friends, and was loved by many.
